About the Programme

Our flu vaccination programme will take place during the Coronavirus pandemic so we have made some changes to the way we will be offering your vaccinations this year. In light of the risk of flu and COVID-19 co-circulating this winter, it is absolutely essential you book in for your flu vaccination to protect yourself and support the resilience of the health and care system.

With this in mind the GP Practices of Hyde have decided to set up a drive thru vaccination clinic for patients over 18, at Hyde Leisure Centre, Walker Lane, Hyde SK14 5PL. For those under 18 years of age, please ring your GP practice to book a vaccination. This will ensure your safety and maintain social distancing. For those without access to a car, you are able to book a face to face appointment at one of the pharmacies listed, who will be taking measures to ensure your safety also. ALL VACCINATIONS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING RESTRICTIONS.

Please be aware that as the flu programme continues, the government will be expanding the groups of people who are able to book an appointment. If you are aged between 50-64 and don’t have a long term condition, please note you may be able to get a vaccine later in the flu programme but this is unlikely to be before the end of November.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the new vaccination clinics, we would welcome your feedback. Please be mindful this is a new way of working for all our staff so your patience and understanding will be much appreciated should things not always go the way you expect.
